Day 5: 5/26

Last night, I had a call with John about some of the next steps.

Main things were:

  • Since the evaporator was not working/needs fixing, Xiaobing will email the lab director and have the evaporator fixed.
  • Need to 3d print the razor holder
  • Need to design a 3d holder for the cylindrical rods
    • This needs to also have some sort of place for weights on top
    • This also needs to be able to have some sort of balancing mechanism
  • Talk with Thomas and David about what exactly they want to do with the graphene
  • John wants to make ITO more conductive
    • One way is by making scribing more efficient
    • The other is by using a ink that loses 5% but is very very conductive
  • I need to ask Sandy/Felix:
    • How to get a bunch of perovskite plates coated to try scratching
    • How to do "wet" scratching later
  • Talk to Felix about Slot Die specific measurements
I also need to find screws for the robot holder

After eating lunch, I 3D printed the holder for the robot, and talked with Xiaobing about the perovskites he made. I learned that Yunfei will probably learn more about the slot die tomorrow, and I'll watch Xiaobing make perovskites tomorrow also.

I then went to the machine shop and found out that it was closing, but took measurements of the razor, the screws, and will go there tomorrow morning.
